Work on the design and testing of three purpose-built search engines to accomodate the long-awaited introduction of Scottish Birth, Marriage and Death indexes on the Gooderson Archive website was completed this morning.

The collection and processing of the Gooderson and variant name event data required having been completed previously, the search engines have now been installed and the data uploaded to the website, thus launching what it is hoped will prove to be a very useful facility for tracking down British people who could not be found in the corresponding civil registration records for England and Wales.
